The Amerista Casino Hotel has won the Four Diamond Award coveted by the American Automobile Association (AAA) for the fourth consecutive year.

Amerista's Iowa operation is the only riverboat facility in the United States and one of only three hotels in Iowa to receive this prestigious designation. Every year, AAA's tourism editor visits more than 90,000 accommodations, campsites, restaurants, and attractions to conduct unannounced assessments.

Of the 27,400 hotels and motels estimated to be rated AAA, less than 3% have achieved a Four Diamond Outstanding rating. To achieve Four Diamond status, you must undergo rigorous physical examination that includes exterior and location, common spaces, room decoration and ambiance, room amenities, bathrooms, housekeeping, real estate operations, and guest service areas.

The four diamond properties are rated excellent and reflect a special level of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.

A diamond rating represents the overall quality of a property and helps people choose which accommodations meet their needs and expectations. Ameristar Casino Council Bluffs, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ameristar Casino, Inc., opened in January 1996.
